Janine Dowding photoThe Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is appointed by the Mayor and Councillors to manage Council operations and lead the Council's administrative organisation.  The CEO is responsible for:

  • Advising the Mayor and Councillors on policy matters;
  • Ensuring any policy adopted by the Council is correctly implemented.

The CEO performs these responsibilities by delegating tasks and authority to a Senior Management Team and other Council staff. Other responsibilies of the Office of the CEO include:

  • Health and safety;
  • Human resources;
  • Council governance.
