Kids Voting 2016

This page provides a brief overview of the Kids Voting initiative run by Local Government New Zealand.

About Kids Voting

Kids Voting gives young people aged 11 to 15 years (school years 7 to 10) the opportunity to experience an election first hand.

Students vote for real candidates on real issues and will be able to see how their results compare to the official election results.

This political awareness resource teaches students, the future voters, about democratic participation.
