Community Development Fund
The fund is to enhance the identity, vitality and sustainbility of the Tasman District's smaller communities. The funding can be used for planning, providing activities, running events or developing services to enhance communities. The fund has an annual allocation of approximately $20,000.
Time of Year
Twice per annum. Closing on 31 October and 30 April.
Criteria
The grants provide assistance for:
- Projects that demonstrate clear public benefit and support
- Projects that contribute to social, economic, environmental and/or cultural development
- Applicants must be from not for profit organisations
- Projects must be for charitable purpose and benefit the whole community
- Communities with a population of 4,000 or less will receive priority
Selection Process
A Council assessment committee made up of local councillors considers all applications and apportions available funds accordingly. More detailed guidelines are available when applications open. Please read these when making your funding application.
