Zero Waste Funding
Applications to the fund are administered by Waste Education Services, part of the Nelson Environment Centre, on behalf of Tasman District Council.
Time of Year
Applications close in March and September each year.
Criteria
The Zero Waste Grant is a contestable fund. It is open to all Tasman-based businesses, schools, early childhood centres and community groups. The grant is specifically for projects that directly minimise the amount of waste going to landfill and/or have an educational impact that will encourage the wider community to reduce, reuse and recycle with an ultimate goal of reducing waste to landfill.
For full details of the criteria please download a copy of the appropriate application form detailed below.

There are two separate parts to the fund:

Whilst there is no limit on the amount that can be applied for from this part of the fund, you are strongly advised to contact Waste Education Services to discuss your proposal before submitting your application.
