Final Storm Update

Clean up is underway following yesterday's wild winter weather. All weather warnings have now been lifted and an update on the status of the road and park closures follows.

Park Closures:

• Isel Park remains closed but is being reviewed today
• Tahunanui Back Beach remains closed but is being reviewed today
• All Nelson City sports fields have reopened today

Roads

Tasman/Waimea Area

• Korere-Tophouse Road now open.
• All other roads open

Murchison Area

• Howard Valley Road – closed at ford, should be open today
• Braeburn Track – closed at present due to snow, contractor clearing, should be open by lunchtime
• All other roads open

Golden Bay Area

• Bates Road – snow cleared and road open
• Canaan Road – still closed due to snow. Contractor currently clearing to allow campers at the end to get out.
• All other roads open
