Tasman Water Restrictions Lifted

Monday 15 January 2018

Water restrictions in Tasman have been lifted with immediate effect.

Following the recent rain, and with further rain forecast for later this week, all water restrictions have been lifted, said Tasman Dry Weather Taskforce convenor Dennis Bush-King.

“The recent rain has seen improvement in river flow contributing to higher groundwater levels in the Waimea Plains.”

“While we have lifted restrictions now summer is far from over and the Council will continue to monitor water levels closely.”
