Online Submissions for Central Richmond Project
Tuesday 17 August 2010
Do you want to be part of changing the face of central Richmond?
A Council project, in response to resident and business demand, to revitalise central Richmond is beginning next week in the Richmond Mall. The project has the aim of giving the centre an identity, making it the place to be – bringing in a unique and enduring vibrancy.
All residents, businesses and visitors are able to play a role in this first step in identifying a vision for the town centre.
People are able to contribute their ideas, thoughts and aspirations in the following ways:
- Come along to the Mall 23/24 August between 9 and 5.30 pm to see the interactive display and contribute
- From 25 August, display in main foyer at Richmond office and make a submission on the forms available
- Pull out form within the next copy of Newsline.
- Fill out an online survey

“The ideas collected from this initial stage of consultancy will be part of the information supplied to urban designers”, said Council’s project manager Sarah Downs. “The designers in turn will visualise the thoughts and wishes to initial designs which will be the basis of a next stage of consulting with the Richmond communities.
“Any interested people can talk to me directly about the project by ringing the Council. At this stage all contributions are welcome”.
