Pohara Boil Water Notice
Friday 31 December 2010
As a result of recent heavy rain events the water quality of the Pohara Valley Scheme has been compromised; therefore it is recommended that as a precaution, households boil their drinking water until further notice.
You are advised to boil all your drinking water for at least one minute for the following:
- Drinking water
- Food preparation
- Utensil washing
- Washing your teeth
- Pets
- Ice
The Council is working with their contractors to ensure the Pohara water treatment plant is fully operational and will notify consumers when the notice is lifted.
Thank you for your co-operation.
