Boil Water Reminder – Dovedale Rural Water Scheme
Friday 7 October 2011
As a result of recent heavy rain events and a temporary fault with the chlorine injection pump at the treatment plant, the quality of the water from the Dovedale Water Scheme has been compromised. It is therefore recommended that as a precaution, households boil their drinking water.
Users of the Dovedale scheme are reminded that a permanent “Boil Water” notice is in place.
You are advised to boil all your drinking water for at least one minute for the following:
- Drinking water
- Food preparation
- Utensil washing
- Cleaning your teeth
- Pets
- Ice
Thank you for your co-operation.
