Proposed Regional Pest Management Strategy Submissions Open

Everyone is welcome to make a submission on the Proposed Regional Pest Management Strategy. Submissions close July 31.
Notification of the Proposed Regional Pest Management Strategy for Tasman-Nelson 2012- 2017 for Public Submission
In accordance with the provisions of the s78 of the Biosecurity Act 1993, Tasman District Council and Nelson City Council are publicly notifying the Proposed Tasman-Nelson Regional Pest Management Strategy 2012 – 2017 for public submission.
The new Strategy may be inspected at any of the following locations at any time that these places are open to the public:
- All Tasman District Council offices and libraries, and
- The Nelson City Council office and libraries,
Alternatively, the new Strategy can be viewed on, and downloaded from, the Councils websites at www.tasman.govt.nz and www.nelsoncity.govt.nz It is also available as a free CD on request from any of these locations. Copies of the document can be purchased for $25.
Submissions can be made by writing to Tasman District Council, Private Bag 4, Richmond, or by submitting online at www.tasman.govt.nz/link/proposed-rpms
Submissions close at 12 noon on 31 July 2012. Submissions should clearly state the aspects of the Proposed Strategy that they support and the reasons for this, the aspects that they oppose and the reasons for this, and alternatives that they recommend.
The provisions of the existing Strategy will continue to apply until the review process is completed.
