Progressive Election Results 2013

Here are progressive results for the Tasman District Council Local Body Elections as at 12.00pm 12 October 2013.

The voter return was 48%, being 16,946 voting papers, excluding voting papers in transit to the processing centre and special votes.

This result is based upon the counting of approximately 98% of the returned voting papers.  The progress result does not include some special votes and voting papers returned today that are still in transit to the processing centre. The outcome of these elections may change once all voting papers have been counted.

About these Results

Progressive results are the results from the first of three counts. 

The progressive votes are those counted by the closing time. They are usually released within two hours of the polls closing.

The second count yields the preliminary results  - this is the count including those cast on the final day but counted after closing time including special votes. Usually released within five hours hours of the polls closing.

The third count yields the final results and includes all votes received. Usually released in the week following the polls closing.
