Decisions on Plan Change 57: Brightwater Strategic Review

We've updated our planning rules for the Brightwater area, and the changes come into effect from today.

  • Future expansion of Brightwater's Light Industrial and Residential zones has been moved away from flood-prone land.
  • Minor changes to commercial, open space and recreation zoning, indicative roads and walkways.
  • Subdivision is limited in flood prone parts of the Light Industrial and Rural Industrial Zones.

Council has made decisions on Change 57 to the Tasman Resource Management Plan (the Plan) and matters raised in submissions.  It has amended the Plan accordingly from the date of this public notice.  All proposed amendments to provisions in these Changes take legal effect from this date.
