Tasman District Council monitors rainfall using automatic recording sites at a number of locations. Click on the map markers or links below to find up-to-date readings.
Due to a few technical issues associated with a data upgrade the map below is currently not working. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this. Please use the menu down the left side of the page to find the site you are interested in. We are hoping to have this fixed by the end of January 2017.
Two rainfall graphs are shown for each rain site, one each for the previous seven and 30 days. The date is shown on the bottom axis, and the total rainfall amount for the period is given at the top of the graph. The bars on the graph show the rainfall total over hourly periods for the 7-day graphs, and over daily intervals for the 30-day graphs. The figures on the vertical axis show either mm per hour or mm per day. As with the flow graphs, the scale of the vertical axis is set to the data and will vary from one graph to the next.
