Motueka River Catchment
An intensive integrated catchment management project centred on the Motueka River Catchment yielded considerable information, not only about geophysical and ecological aspects, but also social and economic aspects.
Beginning in 2000, the goal of the programme was to conduct multi-disciplinary, multi-stakeholder research to provide information and knowledge that would improve the management of land, freshwater, and near-coastal environments in catchments with multiple, interacting, and potentially conflicting land uses.
