About Motueka River State Highway Bridge

The Motueka River at SH60 Bridge is 2 minutes drive west of Motueka. The main swimming hole is immediately downstream of the highway bridge.

During the peak Christmas-January period the river has between 20 and 50 visitors a day.

The main recreational use is swimming.

The southern end of Whakarewa Street and Blue Gum Corner (5.5km and 5.0 km respectively upstream of the SH60 site) are also popular sites on this river.
