How to Submit a Water Meter Reading
There are currently three options for supplying your water meter readings to Council:
Online:
Online readings are the most effective way of sending Council water meter readings. When making readings by using the Council webpage you will need a logon and password, the Council compliance team will set this up for you. If you have more than one metered well or are responsible for more than one record, these will be clearly identified once you log on.
Enter Website Water Meter Readings
Email:
Water meter readings can be directly emailed to a dedicated inbox. If you have more than one metered well or are responsible for someone else’s readings, it is important that the readings you send to Council are clearly identified e.g. by recording the consent number and the well number.
Email Water Meter Readings: watermeterreturns@tasman.govt.nz
Pre-paid Card:
While Council encourages the above electronic methods; Prepaid cards that reflect your return frequency will be supplied to consent holders not making electronic water meter readings. Cards have no pre-printed detail on them but a set of labels will be supplied for you to add to the cards so your readings are identified when received by Council.
