Property Services Officer - 0.5 FTE
 
Are you a friendly and professional person committed to providing excellent customer service?

This is an opportunity to join our Property Services team based in Richmond. This is a permanent, part time position will assist with property and reserve acquisitions and disposals; processing lease and licence road stopping and legalisation, and vehicle fleet management.

You will be a good communicator (oral and written), self motivated, organised, methodical, relate to a wide range of people, be computer literate, customer focused produce quality reports, able to work under minimum supervision and tight time constraints and possess the following essential skill requirements of: –

• Prior experience in similar roles in Local Government, or property law preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel

Summer Holiday Work for Students
 
The Tasman District Council offers opportunities for students who are interested in working over the annual summer period - November to February.

Expressions of interest are called for each year in August
Consideration for placement is given to students who:

• Are from the Nelson / Tasman region
• Are available to work throughout the entire holiday employment period
• Are physically fit and have a current full drivers licence
• Have preferably completed at least 1 year of tertiary study
• Are studying for a qualification relevant to Council such as resource management or environmental science

Work areas which Council is likely to have opportunities for placement in are within the Environment and Planning Department.

Expressions of interest to include a covering letter detailing the area of study being undertaken, current curriculum vitae and a completed Application Form are to be emailed to vacancy@tasman.govt.nz by 4.00pm, 15 September of each year.

Students will be notified by mail or email before 30 September on whether they have been successful in recieving a placement.
