Public Consultation Now Closed
The Draft Long Term Plan is open for public consultation and feedback, prior to Council making any changes, until April 3.
- Hearings will be in held in late April/early May 2012 for those submitters who wish to speak to their submissions.
- After consultation, and any amendments, the Draft Long Term Plan will be adopted in June.
Summary and Downloads
The Draft Long Term Plan outlines what Council is proposing to do during the next ten years. It ties together the threads of everything Council does including the:
- vision and community outcomes for the district;
- services and activities Council is planning to undertake;
- likely costs of Council providing those services and activities.

Background
Council has been working through a number of workshops since late 2011 as part of the process of planning and preparing the Draft Long Term Plan. The activity in the draft of the Draft Long Term Plan 2012–2022 will be affected by the recent flood disaster and the obligations on the Council within the regional recovery plan.
