Walking Tracks

The Tasman District has many walking opportunities from urban parks to alpine tramps. The Tasman District includes two of the Department of Conservations great walks the Abel Tasman and Heaphy Tracks.

Information on Walking Tracks

The Way2Go Lanes and Linkages Walking and Cycling maps are produced for Richmond and Motueka to encourage the community to walk or cycle rather than take the car. Maps are available at Tasman District Council offices and libaries.

The Walk Tasman guide is available for $8.00 from the Tasman District Council reception, Tasman District Public Libraries and bookshops. The booklet has information and maps for 66 suggested walks across the district.
