Temporary Authority
This allows the new owner of a licensed premises to trade on an existing licence until they obtain a new licence in their own name. Normally issued for three months.
This application should be lodged 10 working days before the takeover date. Providing all information and reports are received, and neither the police nor inspector have any objection, the application will normally be approved within two weeks. A copy of the sale and purchase agreement or other evidence of legal entitlement is also required.
