Fees and Charges
Council's fees and charges for waste disposal are set each year as part of the Annual Plan process.

Rubbish and recycling should be on the kerb by 7.00 am on collection day. Collections take place every day except for Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Good Friday.

Waste Management and Minimisation Plan
After public consultation, Nelson City Council and Tasman District Council adopted a joint Waste Management and Minimisation Plan in 2012. It outlines the Councils’ waste management and minimisation aims, funding requirements, and activities until 2018.
