Rubbish & Recycling
Tasman District Council's vision for rubbish and recycling is to value resources and eliminate waste. This section provides information on rubbish, recycling and waste.
Fees and Charges
Council's fees and charges for waste disposal are set each year as part of the Annual Plan process.
Collections Start at 7.30am from 2 December
From the week starting 2 December 2013 kerbside collections throughout the District for both rubbish and recycling will be collected from 7.30 am. This is a change from the current time of 8.00 am.
The earlier start time is to allow the Council’s partner Smart Environmental to get rubbish and recycling off the streets earlier, particularly heading into the busy summer season.
The exception to this start time is business areas (e.g. High Street, Motueka, Commercial Street, Takaka, and Queen Street, Richmond) will now have their kerbside collections start no earlier than 8.30 am.
