Trade Waste

This main points covered in Tasman District Council's Trade Waste Bylaw are:

Long term or temporary trade waste discharge
Establishment of three categories of trade waste: permitted, conditional or prohibited in the form of a consent
Evaluation of trade waste against specific criteria
Installation of flow meters, samplers or other devices to measure flow of discharges
Sampling and monitoring to ensure discharges meet with criteria
Acceptance or refusal of discharges
Charges to be set to cover the cost of administration and monitoring, conveying, treating, disposing of trade waste.
