Older Persons

This page outlines strategies and initiatives for older people in our communities.

The 2013 Census figures show that the Tasman District has a higher percentage of its population aged over 65 (17.9%) compared with the national percentage over 65 (14.4%). Tasman District Council therefore needs to ensure issues relevant to older persons are given high priority.
