The Tasman District Council is committed to promoting the healthy, happy development of children to achieve their full potential. This page lists Council initiatives that support this outcome.
Workshops
A variety of workshops travel around the region visiting Tasman holiday programme providers. The workshops not only provide fun filled activities for the children to participate in, but also equip holiday programme leaders with new activities to incorporate into their programmes.
Themed Activity Days
The fittingly-titled ‘Big Day Outs’ are just that, providing children with an opportunity to enjoy safe adventure activities that they would not normally have access to.
Boredom Busters
Tasman District Council produces and distributes the Boredom Busters publication. The quarterly children’s magazine provides complete holiday programmme listings. It is distributed to every primary and intermediate pupil in the region.
