How to identify outstanding natural features and landscapes
Background
To find out more about the coastal landscapes of the Tasman District and a more detailed landscape evaluation of Golden Bay in particular, have a look at the two reports prepared for Council by Frank Boffa of Boffa Miskell Ltd:
- 2005 Tasman District Coast Landscape Character Assessment
- 2011 Golden Bay Outstanding Natural Landscapes & Features Draft Report
- 2011 Golden Bay Outstanding Natural Landscapes & Features - Maps
- Measuring Coastal Natural Character Report
(These reports are being used to assist Council, and do not represent a Council position.)
What Happens Next?
The Working Group continued to meet last year, on 12 October and 13 December 2011, with a fourth meeting coming up on 11 April 2012. A progress update will be provided on the website after the April 2012 meeting.
The Council will continue to consult with interest groups and stakeholders through an ‘informal working group’.
Minutes from any meetings can be downloaded below.
