Richmond Resource Recovery Centre Upgrade

Major site alterations were completed at the Richmond Resource Recovery Centre in Beach Road during 2011.

The first stage involved relocation of the re-use shop (operated by the Kahurangi Employment Trust). Drainage improvements were made to the site, including the introduction of low-impact stormwater systems. A new car park provides access to the new walkway/coastal area at the end of Fittal Street.
