Watch Out - Zebras Crossing!

Zebras CrossingThe Council has fake zebras available to highlight school zebra/pedestrain crossings to vehicle drivers and pedestrians.

This campaign was a Tasman District Council initiative, and provides an opportunity to remind:

  • vehicle drivers to look for students walking and cycling to school and to highlight school crossings
  • students about the correct way to use the crossings and that they are the safest place to cross the road.

The campaign was first run in February 2010 and the zebras are still being used by different schools across the district.
