Update 1.55pm: Our contractor onsite confirms that the sewage overflow was contained within the storm water sump and has not entered the surrounding waterways therefore the advice to avoid contact with the waterways is no longer relevant.
Wastewater is overflowing from manhole at the corner of Cornwall Place and Tata Heights (see map below) at Tata Beach in Golden Bay.
Our contractor is on site to clear the suspected blockage causing the overflow and to clean up the site.
