Please avoid collecting shellfish from Tasman Bay for a few more days. Friday's heavy rain caused wastewater overflows in Richmond, Motueka and Riwaka. As a result there is potential to become ill from eating contaminated shellfish. Waiting to collect shellfish for several days after rivers have been in flood is always recommended.
