2020 vision of the future - pre-engagement Long Term Plan 2021-2031

Your direction on what we should be focusing on over the next ten years is really important to us. What projects or activities do you want completed in this Long Term Plan?

What is your vision for the future of Tasman District?

Consultation feedback extended - now closes Friday 12 June 2020

Your direction on what we should be focusing on over the next ten years is really important to us. What projects or activities do you want completed in this Long Term Plan (LTP)? What are the priorities you think the Council should be focusing on over the next 10 years?

Due to the all the things we need to do and the cost of delivering them, unfortunately we can’t give everything the green light.

Read the pre-engagement document.

Please note that the pre-engagement document was created prior to COVID-19 reaching New Zealand. In light of the potentially huge, but still not fully known impact, of the virus and our response to it, Council has extended the consultation period out to 12 June 2020.

This extended date will allow you to comment on any COVID-19 response and recovery initiatives, as well as the Council's proposed strategic priorities, and to share your ideas for an overall vision for our region in the next ten years. Community feedback received via this early engagement process will inform the development of Council's LTP 2021-2031.

The current pandemic is going to have long lasting implications for Tasman District and the way we work going forward. It is not business as usual. We want to hear what you think Council should be focusing on over the next 1-3 years, during the recovery phase, as well as in the longer term.

For anyone who has already provided feedback, thank you - your views will still be included. If you feel you want to give more or different feedback in light of recent events, you are welcome to do so.
