Due to an underslip issue on Lookout Road, the track closure which was implemented earlier in the week will come into effect from Thursday June 11.
There will be an excavator and truck working on the road for most of the day. Alternative walking access to Big Skid is via Gum Road/ Firebreak. Alternative driving access is via Hart Road.
To avoid the possibility of rockfall, we will also need to close another couple of tracks beneath an area where remediation work will be taking place.
This will involve the Lower Terminus MTB track below Fowler Skid and the Tower Road walking track - from the Lodestone entrance to Lookout Road.
For MTB users, Upper Terminus is still open, and an alternative downhill route to Ejector is available via Escalator.
For walkers, Allan's Gully is still open and an alternative route between Keith's Walkway and Lookout Road is available.
