For urgent or emergency issues, you can contact us 24 hours a day on 03 543 8400 or via your local Council Service Centre number.

Office and library hours

On Matariki, Friday 10 July, all service centres and libraries will be closed for the day. Usual opening hours apply otherwise.

Rubbish and recycling

There are no changes to the rubbish and recycling collections. Download the recycling calendar for details (pdf 1.3 MB).

All our Resource Recovery Centres are only closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Opening hours vary for each centre, you can find them here.

eBuses

The eBuses on Routes 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be running, but on a reduced timetable. Routes 5 and 6 do not run on a public holiday. Visit the eBus website(external link) for details. When viewing the timetables select the holidays tab to see the schedules.
