Joint Regional Landfill Committee

The purposes of the Joint Regional Landfill Committee  (previously called the Nelson Tasman Regional Landfill Business Unit) is to manage and operate a regional landfill facility or facilities efficiently and in accordance with: 

• the Joint Waste Plan; 
• the Long Term Plans and Annual Plans of each Council; 
• the Activity [Asset] Management Plan; 
• the Business Plan; 
• resource consent conditions for each landfill; and 
• and the Councils’ Solid Waste Activity Management Plans.
